May 18, 2019 – 11:20 a.m., Tulare, CA … Incoming bad weather has forced promoter Steve Faria to cancel the second night of the lucrative Peter Murphy Classic at Thunderbowl Raceway.  However, the King of the West-NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Car Series event has been rescheduled at the track on Saturday, June 8th.  The popular $50,000 event pays $11,000 to win the King of the West-NARC headliner, plus a lot of extra perks.

Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts with other “points chasing” tracks does not allow the 360 portion of the show to be sanctioned by the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on the new date.  That sanction will change to the new Kings of Thunder 360 group instead.

“Who would have guessed we were going to have rain issues in the middle of May in Tulare,” said Peter Murphy.  “I want to thank all of the race teams who competed last night and the race fans who came out to support us.  We promise to have an outstanding show on June 8th.”

The next event on the King of the West-NARC schedule is June 1st at Petaluma Speedway.
