Stockton, CA – November 4, 2018 … The King of the West-NARC Fujitsu Sprint Car Series officially crowned it’s 2018 champions at the prestigious Brookside Country Club with a celebration recognizing the accomplishments of driver Kyle Hirst and car owners Dennis & Teresa Roth of Roth Motorsports.

Hirst and Roth both claimed their fourth championship, respectively, with a dominating 16-race campaign that featured five feature victories and 15 top five finishes.  They also set quick time at eight events and led 147 laps of feature event competition to claim the title by 33-points over Shane Golobic and the Tarlton Motorsports team.

The championship team took home a $10,000 championship check, a $500 Noceti Group bonus,  $400 ARP Quick Time award, and a lucrative assortment of product awards.

“We had a great year,” admitted Hirst during his acceptance speech.  “Dennis and Teresa Roth, Todd Ventura, and all of the hardworking Roth Motorsports crew put me in a position to win every night this season and I am extremely thankful for that.  We hope to do it again next year.”

The rest of the top ten who split up shares of more than $60,000 in point fund money were 2017 champions Bud Kaeding and Morrie Williams; Chase Johnson and Shawn Thomas; Colby Copeland and Larry Antaya; Dustin Golobic and John Golobic; Nathan Rolfe and Dennis Rolfe; DJ Netto and Derek Netto; Jenna Frazier and Jim Paniagua; and Willie Croft and Croft Racing.  The top ten teams in attendance also took home more than $15,000 in product awards.

Dustin Golobic was named the Johnstone Supply Rookie of the Year.  DJ Netto took home a $1000 winners bonus from Swift Metal Finishing for earning the season-long hardcharger award.

Former sprint car driver Peter Murphy has awarded with the Dave Bradway Jr. Inspirational Trophy in an emotional presentation.  The perpetual award recognized his contributions to 410 sprint car racing as both a racer and a promoter of an annual event featuring his name.  His event has generated thousands of dollars for the NARC Benevolent Fund; a fund that helped him in his time of need when he was injured in a violent 2013 sprint car crash.

The event, emceed by Business Manager Jim Allen, featured a Sunday brunch and a collection of entertaining racing videos from Dean Mills of Mills Video Promotions.

The 2019 season opener is slated for Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Stockton Dirt Track.
