(Sacramento, CA – 09/27/18) … The King of the West-NARC series has announced that the year end championship awards banquet will take place on Sunday, November 4th at the prestigious Brookside Country Club in Stockton, CA.  This is the day after the scheduled season November 3rd season finale at the Stockton Dirt Track and will begin at 11:30 a.m with a Sunday brunch, followed by awards.  This includes the awarding of more than $60,000 in championship point fund money to the top teams in the final King of the West-NARC Fujitsu Sprint Car Series standings.

“Our plan was to eliminate all conflicts with the holidays and the local racing banquet circuit by writing an entertaining final chapter to our 2018 season while it’s still fresh in everyone’s mind,” said Business Manager Jim Allen.  “Racing teams competing in our Saturday finale can now spend the night in the area and drive away on Sunday afternoon with the spoils of their successful season.”

In addition to crowning the 2018 championship team, the event will also honor the top ten in points, the Johnstone Supply rookie of the year, the ARP Fast Qualifier Award, the 2018 Swift Metal Finishing Hardcharger, the Williams Roofing Lucky Pill Draw Award, and other accomplishments with a video show from Mills Video Promotions.  There will also be sprint cars on display and a NARC Benevolent Fund auction.  Race fans, sponsors, media, and promoters are welcome.

Tickets for the event are $35 each and must be purchased BEFORE Monday, October 22nd.  Space is limited to 150 people.  Mail checks payable to King of the West-NARC, 805 Croman Point, Auburn, CA  95603.  For more info, contact Jim Allen at 714-397-7417.

The Brookside Country Club, located just eight miles from the Stockton Dirt Track, is a private golf and tennis club in a gated community and is located at 3603 St. Andrews Drive, Stockton, CA  95219.

The official Stockton hotels for the event are the Courtyard by Marriott (209-472-9700) and the Residence Inn by Marriott (209) 472-9800.  Mention “NARC” for the special room rate.  There are many other hotels in the area also.

NOTE 1:  There is RV and hauler parking available at the Brookside Country Club beginning on Sunday morning.  Sorry, there is no overnight parking on site.

NOTE 2:  If the November 3rd event gets rained out or postponed, the banquet date will not change.  In the event of a postponement, the final King of the West-NARC race at Stockton will award a flat 75 points to each team in competition, so not to effect the final positioning in the point standings.
