(August 15, 2023) Stockton, CA … The August 26th NARC 410 Sprint Car event at the Stockton Dirt Track has been cancelled due to the replacement of a dilapidated water well in the infield. The project, which was on the State of California’s construction docket for more than a year, started without announcement on Monday. The existing well is close to turn three and requires dirt and construction equipment to be on the racing surface.
Promoter Tony Noceti was hoping that the project would be completed quickly, but he has been not been given a completion date. The $6,000 to win Champions Classic will not be rescheduled due to a lack of open race dates without conflicts with other events.
The April 1st event at Stockton was rained out, leaving only the November 4th season finale Tribute to Gary Patterson on the docket.
This pares down the NARC 410 campaign to 20-events total. The remaining events on the schedule include the September 30th Morrie Williams Memorial at Kings Speedway; the October 28th Halloween Spectacular at Kern County Raceway Park, and the November 4th finale at Stockton.
