(March 30, 2023 – Jim Allen) Stockton, CA … The second attempt to get the Northern Auto Racing Club (NARC) sprint car season underway at the Stockton Dirt Track on April 1st has become another casualty of Mother Nature.  Due to torrential and record-setting rainfall and storms, the San Joaquin Fairgrounds is inundated with standing water throughout the facility.

“This is disappointing,” said Stockton track promoter Tony Noceti.  “The fairgrounds has taken on too much water and it has flooded part of the pit area and its impossible to work on the race track in its current condition.  It’s a safety issue at this point and we are forced to cancel.”

This is the second race in two tries to fall victim to bad weather in California.  The March 18th Mini Gold Cup at Chico was the first.

The next attempt to get the 2023 NARC 410 Racing Series presented by Napa Auto Parts underway will be on April 8th at Kings Speedway in Hanford.   It is the $10,000 to win Anthony Simone Classic.
