(6/30/22) Sacramento, CA … Due to the shortage of Hoosier Racing Tires, the Northern Auto Racing Club (NARC) sprint cars are forced to cancel the Saturday, July 9th championship points race at Petaluma Speedway.

Demand has far outpaced tire supply with the heavy schedule of NARC Fujitsu General Sprint Car Series races during the past month, and the large amount of open wheel events taking place over the Independence Day weekend.

NARC sprint car teams have burned off almost all of their existing supply of Hoosier tires in recent weeks because of a choked off supply chain.  Complicating that matter is local distributors are not receiving their allocation of Hoosier Tire shipments to restock them.  This was one of the Northern Auto Racing Club’s biggest fears when the season started. Unfortunately, it has now become a reality.

Decisions from this point on will be made on a week-by-week basis by NARC based on Hoosier Tire availability.  Stay tuned to NARC410.com for more information.

There is a possibility of rescheduling the “Salute to Baylands Raceway Park” NARC race, depending on schedule and tire availability.

Petaluma Speedway will still with running a racing program on July 9th that features Dwarf cars, 600’s and Mini Stocks.  Promoter Rick Faeth is expected to add another division in the coming days.  For more information, go to www.petaluma-speedway.com
