(5/7/20) Sacramento, CA … The highly anticipated Peter Murphy Classic scheduled at the Tulare Thunderbowl on May 16th has been postponed.  The NARC King of the West Fujitsu Sprint Car Series was slated to share the program with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on the second night (Saturday) of a lucrative two-day show.

With California State Fairgrounds under a mandatory shut down orders by the governor due to the COVID-19 crisis, this marks the fourth race of the season that has been postponed or cancelled for the NARC King of the West series.

“We are hoping to get this event rescheduled sometime before the end of the year,” said Jim Allen, series GM.  “This is the highest paying 410 show of our season and Peter Murphy and the team at Tulare are anxious to make it happen.  Our teams, sponsors, and fans are ready to go racing.  We just need a green light.”
