(4/4/18) … Due to inclement weather expected to hit Central California on Saturday, the promoters at Kern County Raceway Park have rescheduled the King of the West-NARC Fujitsu Sprint Car Series season opener to SUNDAY, APRIL 8th.
Wet weather is expected to move through the area on Saturday, leaving Sunday as a near perfect race day.
To help accommodate race fans and traveling teams, the starting time has been moved up two hours. Pit gates will now open at NOON. Front gates will open at 2:00 p.m. and qualifying will begin at 4:00 p.m. A complete schedule of events is spelled out below.
“We really appreciate the extra effort and tenacity put forth by Kern County Raceway Park to get this racing event in the books,” said KWS-NARC Business Manager Jim Allen. “Our organization is looking forward to opening up our racing season at the Dirt Track on Sunday. We are asking our loyal fans to starting to spread the word on social media.”
